Corporate sector urged to support tourism events as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

KUCHING - Minister of Tourism, Arts & Culture Sarawak, Datuk Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah has urged the corporate sector and big businesses to come forward to support tourism events as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) contribution that will encourage creative communities signing on as collaborators for such initiatives.

The sustainable model of good tourism initiatoves can only be achieved if both the government and the private sector work closely together as a partnership aiming to bring positive impacts to the State of Sarawak.

According to him, the State Government is hoping to see more creative communities signing on as collaborators to stage their works and showcase their talents to the local audience as well as local and foreign tourists.

Datuk Abdul Karim who is also Minister of Youth & Sports Sarawak has praised the organisers of What About Kuching for the success of staging numerous creative events and activities which will help to promote Visit Sarawak Year (VSY).
